The Lake District is, of course, the heartland of fell walking and Quaysiders club is ideally placed to take full advantage.
Many fellwalks can be started directly from your accommodation, such as an ascent of Red Screes, or the famous Fairfield Horseshoe. Smaller fells such as Wansfell (with perhaps the best view of Lake Windermere) or Loughrigg (perfect for a short fellwalk, perhaps in the afternoon of your arrival) are even closer.

Quaysiders is close to many rivers and lakes which are popular with canoeists. Lake Windermere is right next to our accommodation, and there is a public launching area right across the road from our door. Windermere is popular for those using Canadian canoes as well as kayaks.

Windermere is a mecca for dinghy sailors as well as the owners of larger sailing craft. Quaysiders offers a superb base for a boating holiday, being literally right across the road from the public slipway at Waterhead.

There are several golf courses close to our accommodation, the nearest being the course at Windermere Golf Club. This 18-hole golf course is located in a beautiful setting in the low fells South of the village of Windermere, with a backdrop of the Lakeland Fells.
